I like this woman already!LOS ANGELES -- Look for more -- a lot more -- of Moon Bloodgood on the Terminator Salvation DVD.
The gorgeous model and actress, who co-stars as a resistance fighter in the science-fiction sequel, filmed a nude scene opposite Sam Worthington that was cut from the theatrical release.
"There was a topless scene with Moon that was designed to echo the Kelly McGillis and Harrison Ford scene in Witness," explains director McG. "It was very innocent. They were 30 metres away from each other."
So why isn't it playing on the big screen? It's been suggested the studio decided against including it because it was seeking a more commercially-friendly PG-13 rating in the U.S. (all previous three Terminators were rated R). McG, though, insists that's not the case.
"At the end of the day, we all looked at it and felt, 'Oh, that feels gratuitous, and feels like we're placating the genre, and it may give people a platform to stand on, to take the film less seriously and we don't want that.' Nobody pressured me to make that decision."
Instead, her revealing moment will likely turn up on the DVD later this year.
"I suspect it will be on the DVD," he says, "because Moon has a very sophisticated, third-wave feminist take on why she made that choice."
The Moon is out in Full - Moon Bloodgood that is!
